2 Killed, 7 Injured in 5-vehicle Pileup

A five-vehicle collision in South Carolina has left two people dead and seven others injured.

According to Orangeburg County Coroner Samuetta Marshall, two St. George-residents, 54 year-old Victor Feldor and his passenger, 5 year-old Isaiah Johnson, were killed Saturday. The fatal crash occurred on Interstate 26 about five miles north of Orangeburg.

Felder and Johnson were pronounced dead at the scene.

Police are calling the large pileup is being a chain-reaction crash. Josef Robinson, a South Carolina Highway Patrol Lance Corporal, believes the pileup was triggered when Felder’s pickup truck struck an empty vehicle trailer being pulled by a van. Robinson said seven people were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment after the crash.
