Townhouse Fire, Owner Escapes Injury

A town house in Goose Creek caught fire on Monday when the owner left a pot on the stove. Two other units were also damaged in the blaze, but no one was injured.

The owner was not at home when the fire started. When he returned home around 1am, he found his house on fire and called the fire department. Fortunately, the fire was contained fairly easily.

Woman Injured by Bra, Killed in Crash

A Greenville woman was injured by what her lawsuit claimed was a negligently manufactured bra. After her last meeting with the manufacturers of the bra, the woman was involved in an accident that took her life.

The woman had been fighting a legal battle over the bra injury for the last four years. The collision occurred on I-385 in Laurens County on Friday. The woman's boyfriend was also in the car at the time and survived the crash.

Collision Injures 2

A collision occurred on Thursday afternoon around 5:20pm. The accident took place in downtown Charleston at the intersection of King and Canon Streets.

A Charleston police cruiser and a pickup truck collided at the intersection, causing the officer to be hospitalized and the other driver to suffer minor injuries.

2 Dead, 1 Missing in Boat Accident

A boating accident occurred recently in Litchfield Beach. A 14 foot boat was making its 300 yard trip across the Waccamaw River to get to Sandy Island when it capsized.

Six people were on the boat at the time. Two of those people died in the accident, one is still missing. Of the other three, one of them was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

New Report on January Plane Crash

A report has been issued on the plane crash that occurred on January 29 at the Berkeley County Airport. There was apparently no mechanical malfunction before the plane took off.

Witnesses say that there was no smoke or flame coming from the engine. The plane simply pitched down to a 45 degree angle and hit just before the runway. The pilot was killed, but no one else was injured.

Youth Injured on Highway 707

A youth was injured while trying to cross Highway 707 on Thursday in Socastee. The collision occurred around 7pm near Socastee High School when the youth was hit by a truck.

The youth was flown to the Medical Univertisy of South Carolina in Charleston after the collision. However, no information was released about the condition or identity of the youth.
