Duncan man killed in accident with 18-wheeler

A 65-year-old man from Duncan died on Tuesday when he was involved in an accident with an 18-wheeler on I-85.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the man was driving a four-door car northbound on the highway at around 10:45 p.m. when an 18-wheeler that was also traveling northbound attempted to change lanes. The 18-wheeler collided with the car, which then crashed into a barrier wall and hit a Sedan.

The 65-year-old man was taken to Greenville Memorial Hospital where he died of blunt force trauma shortly after the accident. The accident is still being investigated by the Highway Patrol.

South Carolina man injured after truck slams into building

A man was injured in truck accident after a truck slammed into the building that he was working in.

The accident occurred at the UP Dish Service when an unattended truck began to roll backward for unknown reasons. The truck rolled down a hill and ran into the building causing the truck to crash through an exterior wall and finally come to a stop in an interior office.

One of the men that worked at the building was pinned by the truck. His co-worker pulled him out of the debris and he was transported to the hospital to be treated for his injuries. He is reportedly in good condition.

Log truck collides with car injuring one person

A log truck from South Carolina flipped over after colliding with a Dodge Caravan. The log truck was full of pine logs and after flipping over they blocked the intersection and the truck landed on top of a Volkswagon.

The driver of the van was ejected from the vehicle in the collision and he was airlifted to the hospital. The driver of the Volkswagon was able to avoid injury after witnesses to the accident were able to pull him out of the car through the windshield. The South Carolina Highway Patrol is currently investigating the accident.

Two people trapped under tractor trailer after accident

Firefighters rescued two people yesterday after a car vs. truck accident in Fort Mills, South Carolina.

The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of I-77 after a Ford Thunderbird ran into a semi-truck and was stuck underneath it. The trailer than dragged the vehicle for some distance. The driver of the car was able to get out of the car by himself but the passenger had to wait until emergency crews arrived.

The driver also did not appear to be injured, but the passenger was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to authorities, the car and tractor trailer were driving too close to each other.

Car and truck accidents can be very frightening and can cause injury to all involved. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.
