Loris Woman Killed in Single-Vehicle Crash

Authorities have identified a woman killed in South Carolina car accident Tuesday.

According to officials with the Horry County Coroner’s Office, 44 year-old Angela Renee Harrelson, of Loris, was killed at the scene of an accident on Edwards Road Tuesday evening. According to reports given by officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash occurred shortly before 6:00 p.m. Tuesday, just outside of Ayor. Investigators say the driver of the vehicle was thrown from the car when it struck a tree.

Authorities say a 4 year-old girl was a passenger inside the vehicle at the time of the crash. She was rescued by a passer-by, police say. The young girl was transported to the Medical University of South Carolina. Her condition is not known.
