Firefighters rescued two people yesterday after a car vs. truck accident in Fort Mills, South Carolina.

The accident occurred on the southbound lanes of I-77 after a Ford Thunderbird ran into a semi-truck and was stuck underneath it. The trailer than dragged the vehicle for some distance. The driver of the car was able to get out of the car by himself but the passenger had to wait until emergency crews arrived.

The driver also did not appear to be injured, but the passenger was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. According to authorities, the car and tractor trailer were driving too close to each other.

Car and truck accidents can be very frightening and can cause injury to all involved. Our thoughts are with the victims and their families.
