A brother and sister have died after a drunk driver struck their grandparents' vehicle late last week in Lexington. The boy, who was 7 years-old, died shortly after the accident. His 10 year-old sister, died yesterday of her injuries.

The siblings, along with their 9 year-old sister, were on their way home from church when a 37 year-old man struck the car carrying them. The 9 year-old girl survived and is expected to recover. Both grandparent sustained minor injuries and were released from the hospital.

The drunk driver has been charged with two counts of intoxicated manslaughter and driving with an open container of alcohol.

Our deepest sympathies are with the family and friends of the victims.
