South Carolina Ranks Third Worst Drivers in Nation

The annual report by carinsurancecomparison.com ranked South Carolina drivers third worst in the nation using data from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.  That is not the only thing South Carolina is leading in; the state also has some of the highest instances of roadway fatalities and reckless driving in the country. This information is not exactly new to the state. South Carolina has placed among the top five worst drivers for the last 4 years in a row. In fact, SC ranked first in the nation for roadway fatalities in 2014 and remains in the top 10 ranking for drunk driving. As a result, drivers in South Carolina increase their chance of experiencing a car accident just by driving on state roads.

What should I do if involved in a car accident?

On our Blog: What to Do in a Crash: A Step By Step Guide, we’ve provided you with the necessary steps to take to protect your rights to compensation and to help with resolving your case. Being in a car wreck can cause a lot of stress to those involved. With the proper guidance and knowledge, many minor car wrecks can be resolved without challenges and without all the stress. If the injuries are serious, further actions are needed to resolve, but it can still be done in a way that ensures that you’re properly taken care of.

Major accidents that include severe injuries and fatalities are more complex, therefore many people find comfort in hiring an auto accident attorney to deal with insurance adjustors, accident paperwork and to ensure that compensation is fair.

There are many different ways a car accident can occur, and the specifics of each accident – the other drivers, the road conditions, the presence of defects in any of the automobiles involved – all have a major effect on who is held liable. No matter the circumstances behind your accident, Steinberg Law Firm works to provide the best outcome for you.
