Two motorcyclists involved in crash

Two motorcyclists were injured earlier this morning when they collided into one another. The two men, who are members of the San Marin Vintage Motorcycle Club, were riding with the club when they decided to pass a truck hauling a horse trailer.

The riders crossed a solid, double yellow line to get around. Some of the members made it safely around the truck and trailer, but as two riders began crossing a pickup truck began approaching. Trying to avoid an accident, both men swerved and ended up crashing into one another.

Both were thrown from their motorcycles. A 45 year-old man involved in the collision was hit by the truck and suffered head injuries. The 57 year-old man involved suffered only minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
