Kevin B. Smith

As a former Citadel basketball player, Kevin Smith is used to being the "underdog" taking on strong competitors. Kevin likes the idea of taking on big insurance companies. What has always interested him most is the opportunity law provides to help people. "There's a feeling of satisfaction knowing that I have put all that I have to give into my work, especially when I can help make sure my clients get treated fairly and recover what has been taken from them."

Kevin is the newest partner of the Steinberg legal team.

As a native of Charleston, he graduated from Bishop England High School and then the Citadel. He earned his law degree at the New England School of Law in Boston in December 2001 and was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in October 2002. Kevin serves as the vice chair on the board of directors for the Trident Literacy Association. Kevin also sits on the executive committee with the Charleston Bar Association. He is a member of the Young Lawyers Division of the SC Bar, where he volunteers with the Courthouse Keys Committee which introduces new lawyers to our local judges.

Kevin is married and has a daughter named Harley. He and his family live in Mount Pleasant. In his spare time, Kevin enjoys cooking, fishing and producing music in his home studio.
