A soldier from Woodruff, South Carolina was killed in a car crash in Germany over the weekend.<\/p>\n
The mother of Specialist Dustin Simmons, Lynn Rangel, confirmed that her son was in a car that crashed on Germany’s Autobahn Saturday. “[Dustin] was in the back seat asleep,” said Rangel.<\/p>\n
“They went airborne on the Autobahn, but Dustin was the only one to get killed. It was instant. He didn’t suffer\u2026 They were going to a cookout for a fallen soldier who died.”<\/p>\n
Simmons leaves behind a wife and young child. Funeral services have not yet been scheduled.<\/p>\n
