Cherokee Probate Judge Charged with DUI

Personal Injury Lawyers Representing Charleston & nearby areas of South Carolina

A Cherokee County Probate Judge was arrested and charged with a DUI on Friday.

Cpl. Bryan McDougald with the Highway Patrol said that a trooper observed 31-year-old Josh Queen driving near West Rutledge Avenue at around 2:20 a.m. “The car was stopped fora traffic violation. The trooper identified the driver as Joshua Queen, and he was taken to the Cherokee County Detention Center and charged.” McDougald said.

Police would not release any further details regarding the arrest, including the results of a Breathalyzer test. “That will come later with disposition of this case,” McDougald said.

Queen was appointed probate judge in 2004. He was elected for a four-year term in 2006, when he ran unopposed.
