3 Killed in Aiken Co. Crash

Three people were killed in an early morning car crash in Aiken County, South Carolina Friday.

According to officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the fatal crash occurred just after midnight on Grey Mare Hollow Road. A vehicle which police believe to be driven by Troy Crawford, of New Ellenton, South Carolina left the roadway, struck several trees, and then overturned. According to Aiken County Coroner Tim Carlton, Crawford was pronounced dead at the scene.

Two passengers in the vehicle were also killed. Carlton identified the two other victims as 26 year-old Noah Boone, of Aiken, and 23 year-old Erika Gregory-Ward, of Warrenville, South Carolina.

Carlton says all three died from multiple body trauma, and none was wearing seat belts. Police and the Aiken County Coroner’s Office are investigating the South Carolina car crash and deaths.

Toxicology results are pending, but police suspect alcohol and/or drugs to be contributing factors in the wreck.
