South Carolina car accident kills 7, injures one

A three-vehicle carash on Interstate 95 left one infant dead and seven other people injured.

A 33-year-old was charged with driving under the influence involving death. The infant that was killed after being thrown into a lake, officials say that that baby was not restrained. Investigators say that the woman’s SUV sideswiped another SUV.

The impact knocked both vehicles into the siderail on the bridge. A truck than hit both of the vehicles. The injured people were transported to the hospital.

Car accidents can happen unexpectedly and can cause serious injury, our thoughts and condolences are with the friends and family of the victims.
