One person is dead following a three-vehicle accident on North US-17 early Tuesday morning.

North Myrtle Beach Police officers say the crash occurred shortly before 3:00 a.m. on US-17 between Sea Mountain Highway and Highway 9. According to a statement released by the North Myrtle Beach Police Department, police believe a vehicle was traveling southbound in the northbound lane of the highway when it struck another vehicle almost head on.
