20-year-old killed in single-vehicle accident

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, a South Charleston 20-year-old man was killed in a one-vehicle accident this weekend.

The crash occurred around 3:30 AM on State Route 343 just east of Ohio 370 in Miami Township. Police believe the man’s car swerved off the right side of the roadway. The man overcorrected and lost control.

The vehicle then entered a ditch, overturned, and struck a tree. Emergency personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene. He was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident.
