Driver Arrested After Suspected DUI Accident

A Charleston car accident resulted in a drunk driving charge for a Nicholas County man Sunday.

According to officials with the Nicholas County Sheriff’s Department, 35 year-old Christopher Dean Moyer, of Webster Road in Summerville, was arrested after his vehicle crashed into Glade Creek on Sunday. Police say Moyer was arrested after responding officers detected the smell of alcohol on his person.

Moyer has been charged with second-offense aggravated DUI and obstructing an officer. In addition to these charges, a felony warrant was issued for Moyer’s arrest after he allegedly obtained money under false pretenses from the Summersville Regional Medical Center, according to the sheriff’s department. Deputies say he acquired more than $1,000 from the facility.

If you have been injured in a drunk driving accident, you may be entitled to financial compensation. For more information on victims’ rights in the wake of a car accident, please contact a Charleston DUI accident lawyer of the Steinberg law Firm by calling 843-720-2800.
