Drunk Driver Hits Cyclist

At 11:30pm on December 30th, a drunk driver hit a bicyclist on Attaway Street at Sumner Avenue. The cyclist told police that she was traveling westbound on Attaway when she was hit. She was then taken to the hospital.

According to police, the driver smelled of alcohol and was having difficulty balancing and standing. A breathalyzer test read 0.19, almost two and a half times the legal limit. The man was charged with driving under the influence.
