Hospital wrongly declares newborn baby dead

Two parents from Argentina had the shock of a lifetime after learning that their newborn baby was wrongly declared dead. They were in the hospital morgue to see their daughter one last time when they heard her cry after opening the casket.

The infant, born three months early, was immediately taken to the neonatal intensive care unit. She had been in the morgue’s refrigeration room for nearly 12 hours before her parents were allowed to see her. The baby is currently in critical condition, but family says she is making tremendous improvements.

The hospital announced that it has suspended five doctors as a result. The family is planing on filing a medical malpractice lawsuit.
