Lowcountry 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride 2026: Route, Times, and How to Join in Mount Pleasant, SC

The sixth annual Lowcountry 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride returns to Mount Pleasant, South Carolina, on Sunday, September 13, 2026. This year’s 9/11 remembrance ride draws motorcycle riders from across South Carolina and beyond, and it commemorates the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001, attacks on the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and United Airlines Flight 93, which crashed in Pennsylvania, 

Organized by founder Gary Goldman and vice chair Haley Andringa, the Lowcountry 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride brings together motorcycle riders, patriots, and community members in the Charleston area to honor the heroes of 9/11 and remember those we lost. 

9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride Details: Date, Time, and Charleston Route

This year’s ride begins and ends at The Omar Shrine Center, which is located at 176 Patriots Point Road in Mount Pleasant, SC, adjacent to the Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum complex. Over 500 bikers have signed up so far, positioning this year’s event to set records for its largest turnout ever. Police will escort riders on a planned route through the Charleston area before returning to the start. 

The 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride is free. Registration opens at 12:00 pm on Sunday, September 13th, at the Omar Shrine Center. Attendees can hang out and enjoy music, food, raffles, giveaways, and more before raising their kickstands at 2:30 p.m. After the ride, come back for more events and activities. The gathering is expected to continue until 5:00 p.m.

• Kick Stands Up: 2:30 PM
• Riders Return: 4:00 PM 
• Event Ends: 5:00 PM

Not a biker? You’re still invited to this Mount Pleasant 9/11 memorial event! While the motorcycle ride is the center of the day’s festivities, the event isn’t limited to those who ride.

Want to do more than just attend? The Lowcountry 9/11 Memorial Motorcycle Ride is also seeking volunteers to help with the day’s events.
