Missing mother found dead in car crash

A missing 26 year-old mother was found dead on Monday in Union County after her family reported her missing Saturday night. According to investigators, the mother of three had been drinking when she drove off after getting into a fight with her husband.

A neighbor who lived close to the crash site said he did not hear a collision that night but noticed tire tracks veering into the woods. He said he didn’t notice flattened grass or woods, so he assumed the car had been towed out. The woman may have been in the car for several days.

Authorities report that the woman was not wearing her seatbelt. They believe speed and alcohol were factors in the accident.
