NC Man Dies in Loris Car Accident

A man from North Carolina was pronounced dead Sunday evening after being involved in a car crash outside of Loris, South Carolina.

According to a report released by Horry County Coroner Robert Edge, 20 year-old Justin A. Collins, of Fayetteville, died at Loris Hospital from injuries sustained in the wreck. The accident occurred shortly after 6:30 p.m. on Highway 701, about six miles south of Loris, near the Allsbrook Community.

Collins suffered fatal injuries when the vehicle he was in lost control, ran off the road, and rolled over, according to officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol. Police continue to investigate the cause of the crash.

Authorities could not comment on the nature of Collins’ injuries.
