Pedestrian struck by truck

The Charleston County Sheriff’s Department is reporting that a pedestrian was struck by a truck in the early hours of Friday morning.

According to authorities, the accident occurred near the intersection of Highway 17 and Main Road early Friday Morning.

The pedestrian was rushed to a local hospital and remains there today.

Police are still investigating the accident and have not yet made any determinations as to fault.
