Snowfall causes six accidents Thursday morning

Charleston police report six separate accidents this morning as a result of the morning’s fast snowfall.
In one accident, a car ran off the road near Sissonville drive around 10 am, trapping a mother and daughter in their car. Shortly after, two cars collided near Oakridge Drive and Greenbrier Street. Several more accidents have caused traffic delays near Dunbar, between the 52 and 53 mile markers. An earlier accident caused 5 vehicles to fall into a ditch and a tractor trailer to fall off a hill. There is currently no word on injuries in any of these events.
Officials urge drivers to use extreme caution and allow themselves plenty of time for their commutes.
