Steinberg Law Firm Hosts COVID-safe Thanksgiving Meal for Somerby Assisted Living

In this season of giving, the team at Steinberg Law Firm can think of no better group to support than our senior citizens, who’ve lived much of this year in isolation from loved ones. The coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has impacted the elderly significantly, and that includes many of our elderly friends here in the Lowcountry area. 

For this reason, Steinberg Law Firm chose to engage local nursing homes in our holiday community outreach efforts this year – and on Wednesday, November 18, we were grateful to kick off this effort with a Thanksgiving-style dinner for the residents of Somerby of Mt. Pleasant. Our team provided a catered meal to these deserving seniors who enjoyed the meals in the comfort and safety of their individual rooms. 

“The residents were all very happy and grateful to Steinberg Law Firm for the delicious Thanksgiving meal,” said Mark Summerville, Somerby’s Director of Catering Services. “They were still talking about it the following day.  It was an extremely generous offer! Comfort food always warms one’s heart and stomach.”

We are thankful to bring a bit of holiday season cheer to our fellow community members who experienced a very unusual and often difficult year. Our hope is that the holidays, starting with our Thanksgiving meal, set off a new season and year with lots more joy to be found!
