Steinberg Law Firm Serving as Collection Center in Annual SC YLD Backpack Drive

For the fourth year in a row, the Steinberg Law Firm is participating in the South Carolina Bar Young Lawyers Division’s Annual Backpack Drive, benefitting local schools and students across the tricounty area. All 3 offices are serving as collection centers, and will be collecting school supplies from July 28th through August 11th. All supplies will be distributed to local students at the Annual First Day Festival on August 9th. We are passionately supportive of adult education services, healthcare, employment, public safety, and educating the public about the legal process.

Historically, the event has been held downtown near the Maritime Center. Last year, over 3000 backpacks filled with supplies were handed out to local students!

The firm is collecting school supplies for all ages and grade levels, but these are the items in high demand:

  • New Backpacks
  • Spiral Bound Notebooks
  • Composition Notebooks
  • Loose Leaf Paper (Wide- and College-Ruled)
  • 3-ring Binders
  • Pocket Folders
  • Scissors
  • Rulers
  • Compasses
  • Protractors
  • Dividers
  • Mechanical and #2 Pencils
