My sister called later on. Her son was scheduled to be on the 2nd plane that morning. Only his daughter got sick and they took her to hospital in the wee hours of the morning.

Returning the next day, to work like nothing had happened was the hardest for me. Calling the banks in NY (as was my job.) Hearing the heartache in their voices. Never going to be easy to forget. Most lines were rerouted to other states for the phone work.

I was working at Hampton Inn in Frankfort ky and went to the laundry room they were watching the TV and I asked what they were watching the they said the news about attack on America and an plane hit one of the WTC and i said oh wow and that’s not good!

Something is happening in New York. My mom knew what was exactly happening I was waiting to go to school that day with my sister and I was a junior in high school and I was just shocked and stunned. I didn’t know what to think.
