  • Fighting wild fires.

  • Going to work !

  • I was at work when it came on TV, thought it was a movie, but it was a horrible thing to see and I remember it well today

  • Walking in the door at Work seeing all the activity on the TV…..?!?!?

  • I just got home from working overnite at my job in the warehouse n when my daughter told me to look at the news I just couldn’t go to sleep, It took me 2-3 hours to find a way to make myself fall asleep n try to get the footage outta my head.

  • I lived in San Antonio, Teas. I was at work early morning having coffee with coworkers watching Good Morning America, when the news broke about the first Tower explosion, as the camera was on the Tower it seemed like only seconds that we actually witnessed the plane hit the 2nd Tower!! We all stood up screaming!! In dis belief what we just witnessed!! We all hugged and cried we sat down and began talking choking back tears, minutes later our Admistrator came over the the inner calm and said the Center was closing and we were to return to our homes. My parents lived between Lackland Airforce Base and Kelly Airforce base, I called my dad answered the phone I asked if they were okay and I told him I was coming to their house. When I arrived my mom was crying I sat next to her hugging, and my dad said the street that runs pass the Base were closed, and San Antonio was on alert. We sat in the livingroom talking about what could possibly be happening. Then we sat in silence watching the news

  • I was living out the life of a grandmother’s dream, holding in my arms our two month old twin grandsons. The newest addition to our beautiful family, these babies filled out hearts with joy. Singing nursery rhymes and sharing smiles and coos, the day was about to begin. Our world was shattered, and my heart was broken as I turned my attention to the news. Now , all I could think about was what kind of world we were bringing these two innocent boys into that such horrible , horrific and evil things could happen in this country that we love. Fast forward, 25 years, I take great joy. In knowing that these boys grew to be amazing men. They were raised to lean on their faith and to have hearts of service. Graduating from the Naval Academy in 2024 they answered the call and continue to serve. David is a Marine aviator just finishing up primary. He was chosen to fly the Hercules C 130. Paul is a Surface Warfare officer and his ship just returned from the Strait of Hormuz. They give me hope!
