2023 Scholarship Program: Apply Now!

The Steinberg Law Firm is once again offering five $1,000 scholarships for graduating high school students and current college students who are residents of South Carolina. The scholarship program was started to support those seeking higher education and help them achieve their goals. This will be the sixth year the firm is able to support students by awarding a scholarship to five deserving individuals.

Since 1927, when founder Irving Steinberg started the firm, giving back to the community and education has stood as a core value for the firm. Steinberg wanted to continue to support those in the community who supported him when opening the firm. These core values still stand in place today, as the firm is active in giving back to the community and to those seeking an education.

The law firm’s goal is to create opportunities to benefit the community in a variety of ways. We strive to engage in community events, volunteer and donate to local organizations, and support students. We wish the best of luck to all who apply and congratulate you on your journey to higher education.

The Steinberg Law Firms Scholarship Committee will review all applications and award five $1,000 based on responses to the essay, GPA, community involvement, extracurricular activities, and special honors and awards. The scholarships are awarded to students looking to pursue any field of higher education, not just legal studies. Applicants may submit their entries until April 10, 2023, at 5 p.m., and the firm will announce their final decision by May 1, 2023.

To qualify, the applicants must be a South Carolina resident and submit the following information:

  • Must submit an up-to-date high school or college transcript
  • Must submit a list of school activities, community involvement activities, and special honors and awards
  • Must submit a 500-to-800-word essay in response to the topic below

The 2023 topic is: Research and propose ways in which South Carolina can reduce the number of motor vehicle accidents due to cell phone use including texting while driving
