Attorney Kelly Alfreds Named “Star of the Quarter” by South Carolina Bar’s Young Lawyer’s Division

Steinberg Law Firm is pleased to announce attorney Kelly Alfreds has been honored to be named “Star of the Quarter” by the South Carolina Bar’s Young Lawyers Division. The award recognizes Kelly for her contributions and dedication to the Young Lawyers Division.

In addition to her involvement with the South Carolina Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division as the first circuit representative, Kelly is part of the Charleston County Bar Association and Dorchester County Bar Association. She also is a member of the Injured Workers’ Advocates and Dorchester Chamber of Commerce.

Kelly has a passion to help victims who have suffered injuries on the job and in car accidents. She practices law at Steinberg Law Firm’s Summerville office where she keeps busy helping others and spending time with her husband and two Boston Terriers.

When Kelly isn’t in the office, she can be found out in the community. She loves that community involvement is so important to Steinberg Law Firm. Kelly feels strongly about helping children in particular, so she serves on the Board of Directors and also Chair of the Development Committee for Children In Crisis d/b/a Dorchester Children’s Center. They serve abused and neglected children and their families from Dorchester County and into Berkeley and Charleston Counties.

The South Carolina Bar Association is focused on advancing justice with professionalism and understanding of the law. They give priority to providing civil legal access for marginalized and disenfranchised individuals and families. The Bar has over 15,000 lawyers and all members under the age of 36 are part of the Young Lawyers Division, as well as those with less than five years of membership.
