Work Slip and Fall Settlement of $515,000 for South Carolina Maintenance Employee
The Steinberg Law Firm recently helped a client who was injured in his company’s bathroom due to a faulty air conditioning repair.
Our client, a maintenance director of an office building, called a repairman to fix a leak in the bathroom on a Friday. The repairman arrived, allegedly worked on the air conditioner, and left, stating the repair was made. The following Monday morning, our client walked into the bathroom, found that the floor was still wet, slipped, and fell.
As a result of the accident, our client required medical care and suffered lost wages. Facing severe back and shoulder injuries, he turned to the Steinberg Law Firm for help. Given the nature of the incident, attorney Steven Goldberg was able to pursue a workers’ compensation claim as well as a personal injury claim against the third-party repair company.
After a thorough investigation and negotiation with the insurance companies, the law firm was able to recover over $515,000 in benefits and compensation for their client.
First, Attorney Goldberg assisted the client with his workers’ compensation case and once that was complete, Attorney Taylor Grooms was able to pursue the repair company, proving the repair was never made to the air conditioning unit.
“We are so pleased with this successful outcome for our client, who is now able to heal and move on with his life after suffering injuries due to negligence,” said Attorney Goldberg.
