Mike Edwards of Mix 95.9 and Brand Ambassador for Steinberg Law Firm

Mike’s laugh is more recognizable than his name in the Lowcountry. Known for his “Phone Scam” prank calls on the Two Girls & a Guy morning show, he’s been a key voice in Charleston, SC’s radio scene since 1999. Now heard on Mix 95.9, Mike has played a pivotal role in shaping the local sound of contemporary music radio, both as an on-air host and program director.

Reflecting on his career beginnings, Mike recalls starting at age 14 at a small station in Pocahontas County, WV, where he read news and traffic updates, often about runaway horses and cattle. He quickly fell in love with the profession. His journey took him to part-time positions in larger markets across Florida, Pennsylvania, and Oregon, with a notable role as VP of Programming for Apex Broadcasting in Charleston.

In 2014, Mike rejoined his cohosts Tanya and Brooke on Mix 95.9’s Two Girls & a Guy. He now lives in West Ashley with his boxer, “Girlfriend,” named by a dedicated fan of the show. Mike is actively involved with several causes, including Charleston Pride Week, Palmetto Primary Care, and the Charleston Animal Society. Over the years, he has earned numerous “Charleston’s Best Of” awards for both Best Radio Morning Show and Best Local Radio Personality.
